Library Toolkit: Essentials for Success
All libraries have toolkits with strategies and tools for success. SEFLIN’s 2019 Regional Conference will be a shared workbench for best practices, new technology, and innovative ideas to improve services for your patrons and students as well as make life easier and improve work flow for your staff.

Breakout Sessions
The committee is looking for a mixture of 45 minute breakout sessions that provide practical skills and information.  We encourage you to consider topics describing strategies designed to meet the needs of our library communities and library staff with innovation, efficiencies, and effectiveness.
This year SEFLIN will introduce “The Toolshed”, an interactive showcase where presenters demonstrate a favorite software or technology tool. The Toolshed will be set up with a “Genius” at each workbench so that attendees can choose to interact with the tool of their choice. Each “Genius” will be asked to provide a one page flyer or handout that describes the tool, where to get it, how much it cost, what it does, and how they use it in their library. We will ask them to limit their demonstrations to 5 – 7 minutes so that attendees can interact with several tools during the toolshed open hours.
Showcase a  program, service, or resource you and your library have developed that would be of interest to the library community.   Each Poster presenter will have a 5 ft table for a tabletop poster display (There will not be wall or bulletin board space for mounting a paper poster). Poster session presenters are expected to be available to describe the program, service or resource as audience members mingle for one-on-one conversations.
