Thurgoona Drive Speed Zone

Council and Transport for NSW have received requests to review the speed limit on Thurgoona Drive between Table Top Road and Kerr Road. 

As the area continues to grow – including the development of a new commercial centre in Thurgoona – the existing 80kmph zone may no longer be suitable when it comes to community safety. 

A reduction from 80kmph to 60kmph is proposed, to improve safety for all road users and residents. The reduction would also provide consistency as this is the only remaining 80kmph section in urban Thurgoona. 

The decision will be made by Transport for NSW, with input from council and the community.
