The Department Resilience Quiz is a self-assessment for individuals that looks at five areas of department life: how things get done, how things get decided, what happens in meetings, what happens during conflict, and where the department is going. Your response to these five questions will give you an overall profile of resilience strengths and weaknesses in your department.

In each area, you’ll find five statements, one for each of the five levels of department resilience in the Kardia Resilience Model.

5 Levels of Dept Resilience

In each of the five areas, mark the one statement that best describes your department. If more than one applies, consider which one conveys the overall tone or experience of your department better.

Answer for a typical recent stretch, not for the department at its best or at its worst.

Answer from your own experience. There are no right answers, and people in different roles often see the same department differently. That difference is worth knowing.

After you submit your answers, you'll see your score and feedback related to that response range. While this score helps summarize your department's resilience, a single score may hide what's most interesting about your responses. Be sure to make note of the variations and nuances in your responses as you put this information to use.
