Developing the 2019 Policy Agenda for The Arc Wisconsin |
2019 will be a big year for people with disabilities and their families in Wisconsin as policymakers determine which programs and supports get funded or changed in the next state budget. Previous budgets have proposed eliminating IRIS, cutting education funding or making major changes to MAPP and Medicaid. State budgets have also eliminated the children's long-term support waiting list, increased funding for direct care workers and funded new employment supports for people with disabilities and transition age youth. People with disabilities and their families must weigh in on what is important to them in the 2019 budget.
Please offer feedback on the issues that are most important to you in the next state budget that you would like The Arc Wisconsin and its chapter members to advocate for.
