Utilization of Telemedicine in Physician Practices

Utilization of Telemedicine in Physician Practices

Amid the historic outbreak of Covid-19, physicians are facing unprecedented challenges and threats to the survival of their practices. Physicians are being forced to practice differently, protect their patients and staff while adapting to new business realities and technologies.

As the organization that represents the 17,000 physicians in the Chicago metropolitan area, the Chicago Medical Society is gauging physicians on the evolving economic and business realities they face during this historic pandemic.

For the purposes of this survey, telemedicine is defined as the remote diagnosis and treatment of patients by means of telecommunications technology.  Please respond to the following questions:
1.Is your hospital/employer encouraging or requiring the use of telemedicine during Covid-19?
2.Were you using telemedicine to treat patients PRIOR to the outbreak of Covid-19?
