Teen Action Fair 2019 Application

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Teen Action Fair taking place on March 23, 2019, at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Discovery Center. This free event is a youth-led celebration showcasing how young leaders are inspiring positive change across our local and global communities. Applications are due Friday, January 11, 2019. 

This year we'll be celebrating the theme "Starts With You(th)." The theme was chosen by the Gates Discovery Center Youth Ambassadors as a reminder of the power each one of us has to make a difference as well as a recognition of the unique role youth play in creating positive social change in our communities. 

Each group participating must complete the below application. As the goal of the event is to be teen driven, we encourage a youth within each group to complete the application. This will be our sixth Teen Action Fair, and each year the event has grown in size and reach. This year, we expect to have over 1,500 visitors attend the event, which will feature 30 youth-driven groups selected from the bellow application. In the past, groups selected have included school clubs, youth performing groups, youth advisory groups from museums and non-profit organizations, and youth leadership development programs, amongst others. We encourage you to review this toolkit to help you fill out the application.

Guidelines:
• One application per group 
• Current valid email address

• Any geographic location can apply, no travel funds available

• Must be able to fully participate at the event on Saturday, March 23, 2019. 
• Any participants under age 18 will need to submit a signed release form from a parent or guardian before they can participate at the event.
