Terms and Conditions

The TeachOne Mini-Grants provided by Learning to Give are funded through the generosity of The Fox Family to encourage discussions of philanthropy and student action through projects that address identified needs across the United States.

TEACHERS INTERESTED IN APPLYING MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA

·         Be a certified teacher in good standing in the United States

·         Teach at a public, charter, parochial, or independent school (proof required)

·         Register a free account with www.learningtogive.org

·         Teach a Learning to Give lesson to build knowledge of philanthropy and spur student action

·         Involve students in planning and carrying out a service project that addresses an identified need. 

·         Provide a budget in advance for costs directly related to student action (supplies, transportation, admission costs, etc.)

·         Submit a final report within 30 days of the project with a description and reflection of the completed student project as well as a record of all money spent.  Mini-Grant Application Sample. Sample Grant Report Content.

 
DEADLINE TO APPLY

Mini-grants with a value of $250, $500, $750, or $1,000 will be awarded to applicants that meet the grant expectations on a competitive basis. Applications will be reviewed on the 22nd of each month and awarded throughout the 2016-17 school year until April 1, 2017. You will be notified by email if you have been awarded the mini-grant.

Applications will only be considered if they are complete and meet the requirements above. 
 
Please note: Grant fund checks cannot be made out to individual teachers. They will be processed using the school name. The check to your school will come from the Council of Michigan Foundations (CMF) with your name in the memo box.
