The electronic Genetic Nutrition Academy (eGNA) at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, USA (https://egna.net) is pleased to offer an upcoming educational dinner event, “A Taste of eGNA: Demonstrating eGNA’s Genetic Nutrition ECHO Traineeship.” The event will take place on May 5, 2022 from 7:00-9:30pm at Hilton Lake Las Vegas (Henderson, Nevada, USA) as an ancillary event to the Genetic Metabolic Dietitians International (GMDI) Conference.

The purpose of the 2.5 hour session is to discuss the expansion of eGNA based on the Extended Community Health Outcomes (ECHO) Model (https://echo.unm.edu) for future global training in genetic metabolic nutrition to dietitians and other clinical providers. During the event, 2 clinical cases will be presented by metabolic dietitians/clinical providers on different disorders which require guidance for medical nutrition therapy. A faculty panel will consist of clinical dietitians/providers from our Emory hub site and nationally/internationally recognized experts. This platform will allow for open discussion with potentially 100 attendees joining the session. PI Rani H. Singh, PhD, RD from Emory University will serve as the ECHO Lead for the session and encourage collaboration among presenters, panelists, and attendees.
