Thank you for your interest in applying for one of the positions available with our client, the Department of Human Services, in Adelaide. These opportunities include a variety of roles within the ICT System Delivery team including Business Analysts, System Analysts, Data Analysts, UX Designer, Tech Engineer, Data Engineer, Developer and Test Engineer.

The Application Process

Step 1 of application process
Send an email to applications.au@specialisterne.com including the following two things:

·A letter of application, CV or resume OR a document of any format that lets us know about any experience (paid or unpaid), interests and skills you have related to the advertised roles is OK. 

·Confirm via email the applicant has a positive ASD or Asperger’s Syndrome diagnosis and is able to provide evidence of this (which can be a letter from a treating medical practitioner to support the diagnosis)

Step 2 of application process
Complete this survey. This will include entering information about yourself.

Applications close at 2pm on Thursday 31st January 2019. All applicants will be contacted and advised of the outcome from Friday 1st February. Following the completion of these two steps the applicant will:

·Receive an acknowledgement of the receipt of their application within 48 hours, during normal working days (i.e., Monday-Friday).

Specialisterne Recruitment Process

Please note: Applications are open for individuals who are on the autism spectrum. Any individual aged 18 years or older with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, Asperger’s disorder, PDD-NOS, or Autistic disorder may apply.

Stage 2 of recruitment process

·Short listed applicants will be invited to complete a one day workshop plus a one hour assessment in Adelaide.

·The workshop will be held during the week beginning Monday 4th February.

·All applicants who complete the workshops will be contacted and advised of the outcome of the workshops Friday 8th February 2019.

 
Stage 3 of recruitment process

·Short listed applicants will be invited to complete a four-week training and assessment program onsite at DHS Adelaide.

·The Assessment Program will comprise of three challenges over a three-week period. Weeks 1 through 4 involved individual, group and pair-based challenges using programmable robotics kits, as well as employer-led tasks and activities and on-the-job shadowing opportunities.

·The training and assessment program will be held from the week beginning Monday 11th February.  

·All attendees of the assessment will be advised of the outcome of their application from mid-March 2019.

·Successful applications will begin work from March 2019.

Applicants at any stage who are not successful will be contacted by a member of the Specialisterne team and put in contact with local employment services.
