Responsible for putting together a monthly schedule of volunteers to help during K-2 lunch block.

Lunchroom Volunteer
Help our youngest students by opening milk and food packages, pouring water, grabbing napkins, etc. Additionally, volunteers help with lunchroom cleanup after students are dismissed. Volunteers can sign up on a weekly/monthly basis and can dictate days/dates that work for their schedule.

Home Room Coordinator
Recruit parent volunteers to serve as Home Room Parents for each class. Train all Home Room Parent volunteers and serve as their primary resource.

Help the classroom teacher coordinate special events like holiday parties and treats, recruit other parent volunteers, help with class fall fundraiser assignments, organize the class' teacher appreciation meal and birthday celebration.

Responsible for organizing events that help create a welcoming environment for all of our school families. This includes the annual Boo Hoo / Woo Hoo Breakfast on the first day of school.

Mentor Family Coordinator
Responsible for finding mentor families for all new families entering the school. Additionally, organize the back-to-school ice cream social for all new incoming families and serve as a resource for new families and mentor families throughout the year.

Focus on { } Coordinator
The Focus on committee plans a day dedicated to an area of study such as arts, diversity, culture, STEM, etc. The committee coordinates a day of mini-sessions for students to rotate through along with a school assembly to celebrate the day of immersion.

A committee of 10 volunteers are needed to assist the coordinator in planning and executing the day of immersion.

Works with our primary uniform company, Lands End, to ensure their website reflects only approved uniform apparel for purchase.

Original Works of Art Coordinator
Original Works of Art is a program that transfers a student's artwork onto many different items such as mugs and pillowcases. The Coordinator works as the liaison between the school and program vendor and helps with the sales process.

Coordinates the meal for middle school orientation (held in August). Serves as a resource and mentor to families with students entering middle school for the first time.

* 12. Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Coordinator
St. Augustin Parish is blessed to have a 24/7 Eucharistic Adoration chapel. The Home and School parents cover one hour of adoration weekly, Thursdays from 2-3 p.m., to pray for our school, administration, teachers, families and students. The coordinator is responsible for finding volunteers to cover this hour each week.

Home and School parent volunteers are needed to help cover our one hour of adoration each week on Thursdays from 2-3 p.m. Commitment is for one hour as often as you would like, some sign up for one hour per semester, some try to come more frequently.

Run drives and class contests to help the school collect more Box Tops and earn additional money. Prepare the Box Tops for send off by ensuring they are properly clipped and not expired.

For two days in December, the Santa's Closet Coordinator turn the St. Augustin Library into a shop where students can purchase gifts to give to their family and friends. Coordinator is responsible for shopping and purchasing gifts, pricing gifts, and leading a team of volunteers to help with the sales event.

Talking Canvas is an art program that coordinates with the Des Moines Art Center. After touring the Art Center, students apply what they learned through a parent-directed art project in the classroom. Coordinators help with facilitating these tours and finding parent volunteers to lead the art projects.
