AWARD NOMINATION GUIDELINES/STIPULATIONS

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT IS MAY 31, 2018

The person submitting an Award Nomination must diligently follow guidelines/stipulations of this Awards Nomination Process, as noted and/or outlined throughout this document (the entire document).


Each Award Category is different and NOT every suggested “Attribute” (below) may be fitting examples of the person (nominee).    Never-the-less, including at least one of the suggested attributes (below) helps to give notice that the nominee is worthy of his/her service and commitment to CIT.

Nominee Attributes:   
1.  Demonstrated exceptional involvement within their CIT Program
2.  Demonstrated sustained involvement within their CIT Program
3.  Dedication and/or Support to their Community CIT Program
4.  Dedication and/or Support sustaining their Community CIT Program
5.  Demonstration of specific CIT performance(s) that illustrates CIT training skills with leadership qualities (effective performance).
6.  Demonstration of specific CIT qualities during 911 crisis call events that distinguishes performance characteristics worthy and suited of receiving a prestigious award.
7.  CIT is MORE Than Just Training – How does the nominee demonstrate and/or reflect this thought?
8.  CIT Attributes are sometimes unique and/or different – how does the nominee uniquely demonstrate dedication (engagement) and commitment to CIT?   


Note 1:   Again – not every “attribute” has to be noted.  Read the Categories and match your best “attribute” within the word limit.

Note 2:   Have someone read your nomination write up:
  • Is the text clear and concise
  • Does the message capture an above suggested attribute(s)
  • Is your narrative within the given “word count”
Note 3:      WORD COUNT IS 500 WORDS MAXIMUM

The Nominee can only be nominated to ONE Award Category
The Nominee must be attached to a CIT Program.    

           i.    40-hour CIT training helps defining a CIT “program”
           ii.   Community Partnerships define CIT as a crisis first responder model:  Advocates, Mental Health Providers and Law Enforcement (Criminal Justice)
