As we look ahead to the ASTMH Annual Meeting to be held November 18-22 at the Gaylord National Harbor just outside Washington, DC, we are exploring the possibility of organizing a small “Hill Day” with meetings to engage directly with Congressional offices on Capitol Hill. This would likely be a half-day activity.
It would be a valuable opportunity for ASTMH members to meet with Congressional staff to discuss the importance of global health research, public health, program implementation, and training. These conversations are especially impactful when you can discuss how your work in research, medicine, and public health is supported by the US.
