1. Background information to completing the survey

Thank you for taking time to be part of the 2025 Community Managed Organisation Mental Health Workforce Survey. This survey has been commissioned by the Western Australian Association for Mental Health (WAAMH).

You can come and go from this survey until you submit it and all work completed up until you leave each time will be saved. You will automatically resume on the saved (part completed) survey form so long as you use the same IP Address (the same computer and internet server).


Abbreviations / Definitions

CMO Community Managed Organisation operating on a not-for-profit basis
FTE Full Time Equivalent
HRIS Human Resource Information System
Frontline or Direct workers Frontline workers refer to those workers working directly with consumers to provide services and support.
Indirect or Non-frontline support workers These are workers in indirect roles that do not provide services and support. This includes administrative and reception staff, ITC support, cleaners, transport drivers, etc.
Designated Lived Experience (Peer) role A role which makes lived experience expertise an essential requirement in addition to the relevant practices, skills and knowledge required for the role.
This can refer to Consumer Lived Experience (Peer) worker roles or Family/Significant Other Lived Experience (Peer) roles.
Covers a range of roles including frontline, leadership, advocacy, education, policy and research & evaluation roles
Paid worker A person employed by the organisation who receives financial compensation for their work. This includes full-time, part-time, fixed-term contract, and casual staff, regardless of their role or employment type. Paid workers may be involved in direct service delivery, management, administration, or other support functions.
Unpaid worker / volunteer An unpaid worker, freely dedicating time, skills, and energy to benefit others, a cause, or the community without financial gain
Allied Health Professional University qualified health professionals or practitioners that are not part of the medical, dental or nursing professions. Examples include art or music therapists, nutritionists, counsellors and psychotherapists, dieticians, exercise physiologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists or psychologists
Vacancy A planned and budgeted staff position which is not filled
