Dear South Charlotte Middle School Parents - Thank you for taking the time to vote for your School Improvement Team alternate member! The SIT is a group of parents, teachers, and administrators who work to improve the school by addressing the goals in the school improvement plan. The candidates were asked to answer two questions about why they feel they should be elected as an alternate to the SIT. Their responses are below. Please take a moment and read each candidate’s qualifications and choose 1 that you feel would best serve the SIT and South Charlotte Middle School. Thank you!

Question 1: What are some skills you would bring to the group which may include past accomplishments and/or previous experience as a volunteer to support our schools?
I was an educator for more than 15 years in the public sector grades k-6 and presently I’m an assistant principal at CMS. I bring in the knowledge of improving our students academic experience, as well as  bring in ideas and initiatives targeting diverse students’ demographic and the whole child experience in general. Based on my experience, I’m able to support the school improvement team in any capacity as a parent.

Question 2: Please explain why it is important for you to be a part of South Charlotte’s SIT.
I am invested in our children from all various backgrounds and would love to see positive consistent improvement and growth for our students of color academically.
