Faculty and/or class liaisons are expected to assume the primary responsibility for recruiting participants. In general, Open Circle Jewish Learning Classic courses consist of no more than eight, 90-minute class sessions. We recommend limiting Young Adult and Social Action classes to no more than six, 90-minute class sessions to keep classes more affordable. Hebrew College requires a minimum of 10 participants in order to run a traditional OCJL class or Parenting/Grandparenting class, and a minimum of 9 participants for Young Adult or Social Action OCJL classes.
The Open Circle Jewish Learning team will review proposals after June 22. We will schedule a Zoom or phone call to discuss your ideas for courses before considering your proposal. We will notify accepted applicants by July 22, regarding the status of the course proposal.
