Thank you for your interest in teaching in Hebrew College Open Circle Jewish Learning (OCJL) for Fall, 2022.

All Fall proposals are to be submitted no later than Tuesday, June 21. You will receive a confirmation email upon submitting your proposal. Please contact Cindy Bernstein at cbernstein@hebrewcollege.edu, if you have difficulty with this form.  Feel free to contact Open Circle Director, Linna Ettinger at lettinger@hebrewcollege.edu or, for Young Adult, Social Action or Parenting/Grandparenting courses, Ahava Rosenthal at arosenthal@hebrewcollege.edu.

Faculty and/or class liaisons are expected to assume the primary responsibility for recruiting participants. In general, Open Circle Jewish Learning Classic courses consist of no more than eight, 90-minute class sessions. We recommend limiting Young Adult and Social Action classes to no more than six, 90-minute class sessions to keep classes more affordable.  Hebrew College requires a minimum of 10 participants in order to run a traditional OCJL class or Parenting/Grandparenting class,  and a minimum of 9 participants for Young Adult or Social Action OCJL classes.

The Open Circle Jewish Learning team will review proposals after June 22. We will schedule a Zoom or phone call to discuss your ideas for courses before considering your proposal. We will notify accepted applicants by July 22, regarding the status of the course proposal.
