Building Effective Behavior Intervention Plans: A Parent Guide to Advocacy, Assessment, and Support |
Thank you for your interest in the archived recording of "Building Effective Behavior Intervention Plans: A Parent Guide to Advocacy, Assessment, and Support".
This presentation will provide families with a clear and practical understanding of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). We will review what a BIP is, when one may be needed, and how a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) is conducted to determine the “why” behind challenging behaviors.
Families will learn who is qualified to complete an FBA, how to request one within the school setting, and what components should be included in a strong, effective BIP. The session will also include advocacy tips and key questions parents can ask to ensure their child’s behavior plan is data-driven, skill-focused, and supportive of long-term success.
