2025 Call for the Public Health Partnership Conference Award Nominations

Please consider nominating a stellar candidate for one of the public health award categories listed below. Both nominators and award recipients will be recognized during the 2025Public Health Partnership Conference, April 30th - May 2nd, in Ithaca, NY. We strongly encourage nominators to attend this event, or send a delegate as they will be included in the recognition ceremony.

Outstanding Contribution for Individual Service– recognizes an individual for outstanding public health service and innovative practice in New York State.

Outstanding Contribution for Organizational Service– recognizes an organization for outstanding public health service and innovative practice New York State.

Outstanding Contribution for Local Health Department Service – recognizes a local health department leader or team for their outstanding public health service in New York State.

Outstanding Contribution for Rural Local Health Department Service – recognizes a local health department leader or team for their outstanding public health service in a rural New York State community.

Hermann M. Biggs Memorial Medal and Certificate - this lifetime achievement award honors and recognizes an individual with demonstrated outstanding achievements in public health in New York State.

Legislator of the Year Award – recognizes a state or local government legislator in New York who has been a public health champion and who has been supportive of public health issues.

NYSPHA Member of the Year Award – recognizes a member for their contributions to public health and NYSPHA.

Student Excellence in Public Health Award – recognizes a student in any level of study (K-post-secondary) who is committed to public health initiatives and community improvement.

NYS Fellowship Excellence in Public Health Award – recognizes a fellow working through the NYS Public Health Corps who is committed to public health initiatives and community improvement.

Environmental Health Leadership Award – recognizes an organization, local health department, district/state office or individual that has made longstanding contributions to the field of environmental public health.
