1. Use Case Questionnaire

OpenTox will provide a set of computational tools to predict various toxicity endpoints. CADASTER aims at providing the practical guidance to integrated environmental risk assessment by carrying out a full hazard and risk assessment for chemicals.

Applications will be designed to be used by toxicologists and other non-QSAR experts without special training in addition to expert users. Applications may support researchers in academia, government or industry, or risk assessment tasks in industry satisfying regulations such as REACH.

With the foregoing in mind, these FP7 research projects want to find out more about how to make applications useful to and usable for your particular case. Please take the time to complete the questions and we will endeavour to respond to your needs.

* 1. You may choose to provide any of the the following contact details so that we could potentially followup with you to discuss how OpenTox and CADASTER could help satisfy your requirements. You may also choose to complete the form anonymously and skip this question.

* 2. What type of institution do you represent?

* 3. What is the institution’s main business?

* 4. How important is "REACH" compliance to you?

* 5. For what purpose do you anticipate the need to predict/estimate toxicity of chemicals?

* 6. Who does the prediction measurement/estimation?

* 7. How are toxicity data obtained currently?

* 8. What methods does your institution use?

* 9. What level of detail do you need for individual predictions?

* 10. For which types of compounds would you use a predictive toxicology application?

* 11. What are your most important endpoints?
Please describe the purpose e.g. a regulatory endpoint (please specify which one), human adverse effects (which one, do you have human data?, what would be suitable animal/in vitro models? etc.) for general risk assessment, ecotoxicological fate and effects, data described in SIDS, etc.

* 12. Do you need quantitative predictions?

* 13. Do you need to predict single endpoints or activity profiles?

* 14. Do you need to be able to create your own prediction models? (If yes, please add comments if you have a preference for certain methods or algorithms.)
