Welcome to the 2018 ASNY Survey

Hello Current and future ASNY Members!
Wishing you all a healthy and happy New Year!

2017 was a busy year.  Some highlights of what ASNY has been working on include:

  • Legislative win! getting herbal medicine and diet recommendations incorporated into our scope of practice.
  • Continued work on parity and reimbursement within Workers Comp and No Fault.
  • Identifying opportunities to incorporate acupuncture into the conversations about Opioids in Albany and other systems of insurance coverage
  • Continued efforts to block the issue of Dry Needling by Physical Therapists in NY.
  • Continuing to provide CEU opportunities to Acupuncturists.  This year alone, ASNY advertised over 100 classes/events with discounts available to members.
  • Participation in the American Society of Acupuncturists annual meeting in PA last March and work on the ASA’s nominating and legislative committees.  The ASA is a growing national & international presence that is providing its member state associations with valuable resources and organization for the issues that all states are challenged with.
  • Continuing to improve our in-house structure for board and committee effectiveness.

As we approach 2018 it is important to hear from our membership so that our agenda reflects what you, our members, believe to be the priorities in New York.  Please take some time to complete the following survey.  We realize your time is valuable, but so is your voice.  To encourage participation in this year’s survey, all responses from professional and student members will have their names entered into a drawing for a case of Seirin needles, a $100 value, courtesy of Lhasa, OMS.  The winner will be announced and awarded at the ASNY Annual Banquet in Flushing April 2018. Also, each professional member who completes the survey shall have a coupon code to Lhasa, OMS valued at $10 off their next order.   While non-members are welcome to complete the survey to get an idea of the types of things your voice could contribute to, please understand that only active professional and student members' surveys will be tallied and included in our analysis for direction on this upcoming year’s agenda.  If you are not a current member, or have lapsed, and want your voice to be counted, please join here!

Thank you for participating in our survey. This survey will be open until Wednesday February 28, 2018 so we have time to prepare the analysis of results for the upcoming ASA conference in March and the upcoming ASNY Annual Meeting on Saturday April 14, 2018.  Your feedback is very important.
