Southern Nevada K-12 Black Educator Survey |
INTRODUCTION
Welcome Black teacher, college student studying to become a teacher, or K-12 School Leader. We invite you to participate in this Black Education Experience Survey. Your answers will be used to better understand how you experience K-12 schools in the Southwest, specifically in Southern Nevada. Findings will help determine how best to incentivize Black High School Students into education, as well as, sustain and retain Black Teachers and School Leaders once there.
In total, the survey should take between 15 and 30 minutes to complete, and begins with a brief 5-item questionnaire to determine your eligibility and desire to participate, followed by 20 short survey questions. It is part of a research study being conducted by University of Nevada, Las Vegas faculty and students, in collaboration with Black high school students, K-12 teachers, and education leaders. Please contact primary investigator, Dr. Tonya Walls at tonya.walls@unlv.edu with questions.
