2020-2021 NBMBAA TC Leaders of Tomorrow Mentee Application

Thank you so much for your interest in becoming a mentee with Leaders of Tomorrow!  The National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) Program has mentored more than 8,000 talented youth aspiring to leadership roles in professional fields since 1991. The mission of LOT is to prepare African American high school students for transformative leadership in college, careers and community. The LOT Program is a comprehensive programmatic approach offering mentorship and leadership development. The program is driven by mentoring across four developmental areas: Leadership, Financial Literacy, College Preparation and Career Preparation. This application will ask a number of questions to learn more about you and your experiences, as well as your interest in this program and being a mentee.  Please be aware that Leaders of Tomorrow is a competitive program and we can not guarantee everyone's acceptance who applies. Once you complete this application, you will hear from us via email.

* 4. Below are key (tentative) dates of our first kickoff and monthly Core LOT program sessions. The monthly core meetings are planned to be held Saturday Afternoons, twice a month.  Punctual attendance is critical to the program and the expectation is for mentees to attend each session. The timing is roughly from 1pm-3pm and we can share more updates on the exact times if you come to an interview.  Please note any Saturdays Afternoons not available for Meetings.

* 5. Outside of the core monthly sessions listed above are you available to meet with your mentor for four or more hours per month and have contact (email, phone, conference call or in-person) at least once per week? Please explain any particular scheduling issues.

*Please note that as a Mentee you will be expected to communicate regularly and openly with LOT Leadership team and provide monthly information regarding your mentoring activities, and receive feedback regarding any difficulties during your participation in the mentoring program.
