The Carbondale Park District is seeking enthusiastic instructors to develop and lead engaging classes and workshops that meet community needs and support the District’s mission. Instructors should be skilled at teaching both children and adults, creating a positive and welcoming learning environment that encourages continued participation. Responsibilities include planning and demonstrating class techniques, managing basic administrative tasks (such as attendance, incident reports, and equipment requests), and maintaining an organized, well-prepared teaching space. Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to build positive relationships with participants are essential. Instructors will also collaborate with fellow staff to support and grow special interest programming throughout Carbondale and surrounding communities. After applications have been received CPKD staff will review and contact applicants.
