In periods of extreme, life-threatening weather, defined as a wind-chill factor of 20°F or below, multiple county agencies and private health / social organizations offer expanded services for those without adequate shelter, including the chronically homeless and homeless families with children. The goal of the Code Blue plan is to provide temporary shelter, food, and clothing to those in need. The county typically calls 40-60 Code Blue nights between November and April every year.

In these unprecedented times, we are critically concerned about residents faced with homelessness following an eviction or foreclosure. We are especially concerned when temperatures drop below freezing and we enter into a Code Blue scenario. If your organization is interested in becoming a Code Blue Emergency Shelter, please complete the fields below. The Your Way Home team will reach out directly to set up a meeting.
