READY TO VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE TRANSPORTATION PHOTOS?

The Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho (COMPASS) is looking for your help in illustrating what the Treasure Valley’s transportation system looks like to you. Why? Because every four years, COMPASS develops, or updates, a regional long-range transportation plan for Ada and Canyon Counties.

Right now, COMPASS is hard at work on the plan’s update – Communities in Motion 2040 2.0 – which focuses on four transportation components that make up a complete transportation system: roadways, walking and biking, public transportation, and freight.

Over the last year, COMPASS asked photographers of all abilities to submit photos of these four transportation components. The photos with the most votes will be used in a 2017 COMPASS transportation calendar, on the COMPASS website, in the Communities in Motion 2040 2.0 plan update, in promotional materials, and more!

Now it’s time to vote for the "Treasure Valley: On the Go!" photos that you think best represent the Treasure Valley’s many transportation options. Vote for your favorite photos now and be sure to ask for your FREE copy of the calendar later this fall. Don’t forget to encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to vote, too!

The photos below are grouped by transportation component - roadways, bicycle and pedestrian, public transportation, and freight (trucks, farm equipment, and trains). Have fun voting!
