Workforce1 is recruiting candidates for NYC Non-Profit Organization. Qualified candidates will be contacted to be screened for the position.
Youth Counselor- $17.46 per hour, per diem, Overnight position
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Between 1-2 years of experience working in the field of human services
- Ability to handle crisis situations with minimum supervision.
- Experience conducting groups and developing appropriate and relevant youth programming
Juvenile Counselor: $19.71 per hour
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma + 3 Years of Direct Services in Mental Health or Juvenile Justice Programming or
- Associates Degree + 2 Years of Direct Services in Mental Health or Juvenile Justice Programming or
- Bachelor’s Degree + 1 Year of Direct Services in Mental Health or Juvenile Justice Programming
- Valid NYS Driver’s License preferred.
- Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills in order to maintain required documentation
- Must have a commitment to work from a strength based and/or youth development and trauma-informed perspective
- Commitment to the mission and values of Sheltering Arms Children and Family Services
- Must be able to pass required Safe Crisis Management (SCM) and recertify annually
CPP Therapist: $53k to $55k
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or mental health discipline, license preferred
- Clinical experience and experience with evidence based models preferred
- Good written and oral communication skills; computer literate
- Experience in child welfare field strongly preferred
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner while managing competing priorities
- Bilingual required, to conduct case management for our families
- Proficient use of Microsoft applications; knowledge of PROMIS/CONNX desired
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity when serving clients that come from different backgrounds and walks of life
Domestic Violence Specialist: (Dependent on Experience)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Three years of experience in child welfare and work affiliated with Domestic Violence population required
- Child welfare practice experience a plus; thorough working knowledge of ACS preventive services system.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal communication, writing and organizational skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
