Application for Technical Assistance: Alternatives to Incarceration

The purpose of this technical assistance is to assist tribal communities to identify, implement, and/or enhance alternatives to incarceration for their community. Alternatives to incarceration can be defined as programs designed to keep offenders/defendants out of jail/prison/detention.
Examples may include (but are not limited to):

          - Day Reporting/Day Treatment Centers

          - Work/School Release Program

          - Healing-to-Wellness Courts/Drug Courts/Teen Courts

          - Electronic Monitoring Program

          - Probation/Community Supervision Programs

          - Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs

          - Elder Sentencing Panels
