Solving the Ad Hoc BI request problem for CDO's and Data Analysts

BI dashboards require specialized skills and long & costly development cycles. More and more stakeholders are making Ad Hoc requests of their BI team and expecting 1-5 day turnaround. Meanwhile, DIY dashboard tools are not being used by stakeholders because they are too complex and hard to learn.

The following survey attempts to quantify the demand for a new type of response to Ad Hoc BI requests. This involves DIY data exploration and analysis apps similar to websites where stakeholders can surf, search, and find answers in a fun and engaging environment using any web browser, connecting to an approved data set from a company lake/warehouse.
