Dear Parents/Guardians:

Jacksonville State University Social Work Department graduate students (MSW) are collaborating with Piedmont City Schools to assess the awareness and needs of mental health in the Piedmont City School System. In Fall 2021 we conducted an in-depth analysis of mental health awareness in Piedmont City Schools and a need for additional training was identified by parents/guardians who completed a survey. Our objective is to now ask you, the parents/guardians of Piedmont City Schools students,  what mental health training services you would like to see made available and how you would best access them.

Participation in this survey is voluntary and should take 10 minutes or less to complete. The data collected from this assessment will be anonymous to protect privacy and confidentiality.  Please complete the survey before May 20th.  These survey results will give us, and Piedmont City Schools, a better understanding of training services and programs that you think could help you understand the mental wellness needs of your children.

Thank you for your time and consideration. If you have any questions, complaints, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at kwickersham@jsu.edu or sccreech@jsu.edu
