The N-DEx System Program Office and Training Team are offering dynamic web-based training opportunities to maximize the value of the N-DEx System to your investigations. You will receive guidance on how to access system capabilities; utilize best practices for setting system preferences; conduct effective searches on targets of investigative interest; and employ time-saving features such as subject alerts to automate investigative workloads and aid in deconfliction.

These sessions feature live demonstrations of the system and last between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the topic and the level of audience participation.

After registration no additional steps are needed, and please be aware no confirmation email will be sent to you. Registrants will begin receiving their meeting invitations approximately a week prior to the session. Please note that registrations generally close two business days before a class. N-DEx System Workshop Descriptions*

The N-DEx System Overview:
This session provides a high-level overview of the N-DEx System, what data it contains, and includes a tour of the system and its basic functionalities. This class is appropriate for both new and prospective N-DEx System users.

Search: In-depth demonstration outlining usage of filters and best practices when performing both keyword and targeted searches in the N-DEx System.

Batch Search:
The Batch Search function enables users to search multiple (up to thousands) people, phone numbers, vehicles, or keywords at one time. This session will cover how to create a Batch Search template, create a Batch Search, view results, and edit and share a Batch Search.

* Although not required, it is strongly recommended you have an active N-DEx account to get the most benefit from these classes. After submitting your registration, a member of the training team will reach out to determine your current system status and assist you in establishing an N-DEx account, if interested.

Completing the N-DEx System Outreach Registration Form is voluntary; however, failure to provide your identifying information may result in your inability to participate in N-DEx outreach sessions.

Principal Purpose: The purpose of this registration form is to ensure that you are eligible to participate in an N-DEx outreach session. Your personal information will be used to confirm your employment with your agency and to validate that you are eligible for access to the N-DEx system. When you log in to an N-DEx outreach session, this registration form will be used to confirm that you are a valid registered participant.

Routine Uses: All registration forms will be maintained in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974. Information on the registration form may be disclosed with your consent, and may be disclosed without your consent as permitted by all applicable routine uses as published in the Federal Register (FR), including the routine uses for the FBI Online Collaboration Systems (JUSTICE/FBI-004), published at 82 FR 57291 (Dec. 4, 2017), and the routine uses for The FBI Central Records System (JUSTICE/FBI-002), published at 63 FR 8659, 671 (Feb. 20, 1998) and amended at 66 FR 8425 (Jan. 31, 2001), 66 FR 17200 (Mar. 29, 2001), and 82 FR 24147 (May 25, 2017). Routine uses may include sharing information with other local, state, tribal, territorial, or federal law enforcement agencies.
