The inaugural First City: Monterey Beer & Wine Festival is Monterey's first event marrying our local wine culture with the growing micro-brewery scene. This exciting event is set on the lawn of the historic Colton Hall (Monterey's City Hall) the location of the signing of California's Constitution. The festival will feature Monterey County wine and micro-brews from throughout the Central Coast, food trucks, musical acts, and fun activities. Funds raised will be donated to the Monterey County Gives! campaign.

We need volunteers to help make this a success and that where you come in. All volunteers must be 18 or over and must be able to lift 30 pounds.  Unfortunately, you can't drink alcohol at the event. (It's a liability thing.) But we'll make sure you're rewarded for your efforts!

Event Details:

  2. Date: Saturday, November 10
  3. Location: Colton Hall Lawn (in front of Monterey City Hall)
  4. VIP (Early Admission): 12:00 - 1:00
  5. Event Time (General Admission): 1:00 - 4:00pm
Help needed:
  • Morning Setup: 8:30 am or 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
  • Event: 11:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Post Event Breakdown: 3:30 - 7:00 pm
We also welcome help the week before getting everything ready for the event. That's flexible hours. Simply let us know below.

Shift Responsibilities:
  • Morning Setup - Setting up the footprint of the event.
    • Help set up tables, chairs, fencing, etc. 
    • Help decorate
    • Help supply the winery and brewery stations
    • Anything else that falls under set up
  • Event
    • Registration table
    • Winery and Brewery support - ice, dumping ice buckets, whatever else they need
    • Supplies 
    • Trash pick up (bringing trash bags to dumpsters)
    • Musicians - making sure artists have what they need
  • Post Event Breakdown:
    • Breaking down everything that we set up
    • Cleaning up trash
