The Salvation Army | Children’s & Young People’s Voice Diagnostic

Introduction

Thank you for taking the time to complete this diagnostic.

Your views will help shape how The Salvation Army listens to, values and acts on the voices of children and young people across the UK and Ireland Territory.

This diagnostic forms part of The Salvation Army's Children & Young People's Voice Roadmap and will be used to identify strengths, celebrate good practice and highlight opportunities for improvement.

By submitting this questionnaire, you understand that your responses will be used solely for the purposes of this research and to improve Salvation Army practice.

Your responses will be analysed collectively and reported anonymously. Individual responses will not be identified.

There are no right or wrong answers. Please answer honestly based on your experience of what happens in practice, rather than what you think should happen.

Many people within The Salvation Army hold more than one role (for example, as a parent, volunteer, local leader, divisional or territorial staff member). Please complete this questionnaire once only, drawing on your experiences across all of the roles you hold. Where your experiences differ, answer based on your overall experience and use the comment boxes to explain where helpful.

"I don't know", "It varies" and "This depends on the setting" are all valuable responses.

We recommend finding a quiet space, making yourself a drink and giving yourself time to reflect. This is your opportunity to have your say. Most people complete the questionnaire in 15–20 minutes, depending on how much detail they choose to include in the optional comment boxes.

This is your chance to strengthen how The Salvation Army works alongside children and young people.

Thank you.
