Expectations for Handling Editors (HE)
* Handle at least 4 papers during the AM peak (December-March) and 2 papers the rest of the year (6 total).
* Agree to be the HE for a paper within 7 days. Actions after agreeing to be the HE include:
  1. Recommend a desk reject within 10 days; or
  2. Assign to reviewers within 10 days.
* Make a decision within 10 days of having the minimum number of complete reviews.
* Respond to questions from Associate Editors, Editor-in-Chief, and TRR staff in a timeline manner (within 7 days).

The following information will be used to help group editors and assign papers. When handling a paper, you should know enough about the topic to be able to identify possible reviewers and understand and interpret their comments about the paper.

Please choose up to four (4) Subject Areas that you feel comfortable performing the role as HE. These will be used to help group HEs and AEs. Within each subject area, provide up to eight (8) more Specific Topics. For specific topics, you may use this SUBJECT LIST or write in your own description, limited to 60 characters.
