This is an award memorializing Thomas R. Porter, a driving force in NACVA and the business valuation and financial litigation consulting community.  Tom passed away in 2007, but his spirit lives on as his dream continues to be realized by NACVA members every day.  The intent of the award is to recognize a credentialed NACVA member who exemplifies the qualities that Tom displayed passionately throughout his life and within our profession. 
Candidate Criteria

Individuals must meet the following requirements to be nominated for this prestigious award:

A.        Demonstrates personal and professional integrity
B.        Demonstrates leadership in our profession and/or other aspects of his or her life
C.        Must be a member of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) for five years, in good standing, and holds at least one of NACVA's credentials (active or retired)
D.        Actively involved in our profession for at least 10 years
E.         Has served our profession through participation on various boards, committees, or task forces and/or through publications, training, or presentations
