For this study we are looking for Tradie friends
***Builders
***Carpenters
***Glaziers
***Plumbers
***Waterproofers
***Floorers
to do a 1.45 hour interview with a friend/colleague who is in the same trade
- In café at a convenient location with your trade vehicles nearby
- very Pre-task required
- payment is $300 for taking part
Our client wants to talk to tradies (with a friend who is in same trade)
You'd be talking about 3 or 4 of the types of products you use.
You'd also be talking about your shopping behaviours at TRADE stores you use.
You should be the decision-maker for the products you use.
We want people who like a chat - you will be talking about what you like & dislike in products.
The interviews will be the weekend of February 8th & 9th
They will be at a cafe accessible to both of you with easy access to your trade vehicles. The client will take you on an accompanied shop as a part of our interview… at the end of the interview, taking you to a nearby trade store.
You'd be talking about the products you use. They'll have a look in your work vehicle/ute at the products as a part of these interviews. It’s important that you bring your regular work vehicle with you.
You would be asked to answer some questions on camera/film. While none of these videos will be used in marketing, you would sign a media release as a part of the interview.
The interviews will be conducted by the researcher & 1-2 of their clients.


Pretask
You'd be required to complete a short (10-minute) pre-task where you jot down what jobs/tasks you'd completed over 3 days as a part of their role & what products used for each job/task. You'd need to take 3-4 photographs of your toolbox & the products.
o the pretask are an essential part the interviews & sent to client at least 48hrs prior to the interview
