Health Care Worker of the Year Award - Overview
The OHA Albert E. Dyckes Health Care Worker of the Year Award honors the excellence of front-line health care workers who are employees of OHA member hospitals and health systems statewide and recognizes one outstanding individual who:
- Routinely goes beyond the call of duty
- Daily reflects the mission and values of their organization
- Notably gives back to the community
ELIGIBILITY
Each member hospital is invited to nominate one individual who was not nominated in 2026 from your facility or health system. Previous honorees aren't eligible for nomination. Health systems are encouraged to submit nominations from each of their member hospitals or may select one nominee to represent the entire health system. Nominees must be current employees of an OHA member hospitals and health systems. The nominee can be a direct caregiver, but that is not a requirement. Support personnel and physicians are also eligible if they exemplify the qualities represented by this award.

RECOGNITION
The OHA Recognition Dinner & Awards Presentation will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2027, during the 112th OHA Annual Membership Meeting, June 22-23 in Columbus. All nominees will be recognized on social media leading up to the dinner, then celebrated throughout the evening event where finalists and the ultimate recipient will be announced. More information about this dinner including how to register for this event will be sent out in the Spring of 2027.

Headshot - A headshot is a front-on photograph of the nominee with minimal or no surroundings.
These photos will be used in various promotions. JPEG, PNG, or GIF photos must be emailed by Dec. 15, 2026, to Communications@ohiohospitals.org.
