What is a PTO and what is Whittier PTO?

A PTO is a Parent Teacher Organization and at Whittier the PTO's mission is to promote student excellence through enrichment beyond academics and support social and emotional growth of all children.  By serving as the connective link between home and school, we look to build a community enriched by diverse backgrounds and perspective, guided by common trust.
 
What does Whittier's PTO do?
  1. We work with Whittier staff to build programs and support teachers efforts to provide an enriching environment for our students. 
  2. We engage with parents in various events and activities to foster a sense of connection and community to the school. 
  3. We fundraise to support the above efforts and leverage parent volunteers to contribute their time and talent to make it all happen!
