Eligibility
Texas Nurses Association/American Nurses Association members are eligible to run for all elected TNA offices if they meet the criteria for candidate consideration and are able to meet the responsibilities and time commitments outlined for each elected position. Criteria and position descriptions can be found on the TNA Website.

Application
No one will be placed on the ballot who has not checked the box giving consent to have their name and biographical data published on the TNA Ballot.

Neither being contacted by a member of the Leadership Succession Committee nor submitting the official biographical data information is a guarantee that a member will be slated as a candidate on the 2020 Texas Nurses Association Ballot. The Leadership Succession Committee will review all submissions, evaluate submissions based on the candidate selection criteria, and determine the final proposed slate of candidates. The proposed ballot will then be published and members may challenge the proposed ballot before it is declared official.

Biographical Data
The Leadership Succession Committee requires that all potential candidates complete the official candidate submission form in order to have consistent information for compiling the official ballot. The committee request that potential candidates submit their Curriculum Vitae/Resume  in addition to the official form to help inform the committee as they slate the best qualified candidates for each position. Email your vitae or resume to tna@texasnurses.org or fax 512-452-0648.

Candidates for Board At-Large, Board At-Large Small District, and Leadership Succession Committee Chair should submit a platform up to 200 words.
