Please tell us your views on the Oak Ridges Moraine protection of rural lands in your area

The rural lands around Goodwood are protected from development by the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Act.  After this law came into force in 2001, no rural lands can be re-zoned for commercial, industrial, institutional or residential developments. However the law does allow developments that are agriculture-related provided they support local agriculture and they do not hinder local agriculture.

We want to know how important the Oak Ridges Moraine protection is to you and whether it was or is a factor for living in the area.  We plan to use this information in our discussions with decision makers.
