The Controversy

This week, the New York Times reported on Substack’s stance on not banning extremist content on the platform “so long as newsletter writers do not incite violence.” This decision, evoking the First Amendment, is a cop-out. I believe in free speech and protecting the one I stand against, but I do not believe in providing platforms to spread and monetize it. All that to say, I am going to explore the possibility of other platforms, but I would also love to hear your thoughts on this specific question using this little survey.

Question Title

* 1. What is your opinion on Substack's decision to not ban extremist content as long as it does not incite violence?

Question Title

* 2. Do you think I should leave Substack due to its stance on extremist content?

Question Title

* 3. If yes, which platform do you suggest as an alternative to Substack?
