The FAW RD&E Forum is a unique opportunity to connect with people working across agricultural industries and disciplines and hear about the latest Australian supported Fall Armyworm (FAW) research, development and extension.
Over two days, participants will hear from researchers, farmers, agronomists and industry representatives about what is working, the challenges they are currently facing in managing FAW, and the priority issues that will require RD&E support into the future. Research and Development Corporations (RDCs) will also share how FAW RD&E aligns with their strategic investment priorities.
Importantly, the Forum will bring these perspectives together to initiate the co-design of a FAW RD&E Roadmap, helping identify shared priorities, opportunities for collaboration and future investment needs.
A key objective of the project is to strengthen cross industry and cross disciplinary connections, create opportunities for greater collaboration across FAW research, development and extension, and build a shared understanding of future FAW RD&E needs.

Outline of the Agenda:
Day 1: Keynote speakers, grower/farmer/ agronomist panel, RDC session and RD&E update presentations
Day 2: Industry FAW session and co-design of a FAW RD&E Roadmap. We particularly encourage team leads/ managers, senior researchers and farmers/ growers who can contribute a strategic and forward-looking perspective on FAW RD&E to participate in Day 2 and contribute to development of the roadmap.
This Forum is a free event and is being delivered through the Cross-Industry FAW RD&E Facilitation Project, under the Plant Biosecurity Research Initiative (PBRI). The lead agent is Hort Innovation, in collaboration with Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), Dairy Australia, Cotton Research and Development Corporation and AgriFutures Australia.
