About this form

Your group is a trans-led member of TGEU (or would like to become one)? You want to bring your group's knowledge and talents into the spotlight? You would like to contribute to the Council's programme and bring the Council’s theme to life? Submit a proposal!

We especially encourage trans people from further marginalised backgrounds to come forward, including Black people and People of Colour, D/deaf and disabled people, people with a migration background, sex workers, trans women and gender-non-conforming people, people living with HIV, and people from under-represented regions and countries. We will give priority to trans and queer activists from TGEU member organisations and underrepresented groups. You're not a member yet? Become one! More info on why and how to become a member here.

Background information

  • About TGEU
TGEU is a membership-based network and represents more than 200 member organisations in 50 countries. TGEU’s mission is to strengthen the rights and wellbeing of trans people in Europe and Central Asia. We strive to represent the diverse needs of our members within human rights mechanisms, build the capacity and skills of our members to meet the needs of local communities and develop intersectional and decolonised programmes to build more resilient and connected trans movements.
  • About the TGEU European and Central Asian Trans Council
The Council is the largest community and political gathering gathering of trans activists in Europe and Central Asia. With around 200 participants every second year, the Council is both a forum setting the agenda for trans politics and a celebration of the diverse trans communities.

This year we are excited to welcome you to the 9th TGEU European and Central Asian Trans Council, which will be held at Salini Resort Hotel in Malta from 21 to 24 November. The Council will be hosted in collaboration with our local members, the Malta LGBTIQ Rights Movement (MGRM). In the spirit of the council theme this year- Together: Uniting in Solidarity and Resistance, 200 trans activists, allies, policymakers, and donors are expected to gather as a community to celebrate small wins, share experiences and collectively moot strategies for advancing trans rights in the region.
