Thank you for submitting your article for publication consideration in Teaching Music magazine. If your article is accepted for publication, we want to make sure you understand NAfME’s publication policies. Please check each box below to demonstrate your understanding of these policies. Submission of this form implies your agreement.

*1.When an article is accepted for publication by Teaching Music magazine, the author understands:(Required.)

The article cannot be under publication consideration by another publication.

Copyright for all submissions accepted for publication will be assigned to NAfME. NAfME’s exclusive copyright interest shall include all rights as the owner of the Work, including but not limited to the right to revise, adapt, translate, and prepare derivative works and the right to republish the Work online. Acceptance of a manuscript for publication does not guarantee the publishing of the article in a particular issue of the magazine.

NAfME reserves the right to determine whether the article will be published in print, in digital-only format, or both print and digital formats.

Payment is not possible for contributions to the magazine. Any costs associated with illustrations or musical examples are the responsibility of the author.

Permission from the parents or guardians of minors whose photographs are submitted are required (Release Form).

The final article title, illustrations, pull-quotes, and graphic design of the published article are at NAfME's discretion, with input from the author.

A current membership in NAfME is expected.

Permissions to reprint already published material, such as illustrations or tables, must be obtained by the author.
