What’s going on with the Piedmont Avenue Library?

· The library – part of the Oakland Public Library system – moved in 2012 to a modular unit after the rent was raised on the building on 41st Street from $1 to $4,250 per month.

· The modular unit on 80 Echo Avenue is on lease from the Oakland Unified School District.

· The current lease expires in 2022.

· The Friends of PAL (Piedmont Avenue Library) is working towards a permanent home.

We have developed this survey so neighbors can weigh in with their preferences.
