About the Tribal Learning Series

Suppah Consulting and Allyship in Action (AiA) are collaborating to offer a Tribal Learning Series for the community to explore how we are engaging with and supporting the Warm Springs community. The Tribal Learning Series consists of four parts:

Part 1: Territory Acknowledgements: An overview of the what and why behind territory acknowledgments, why you or your organization should or should not use them, and how to navigate territory acknowledgments authentically.

Part 2: Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Tribal History: An overview of the history of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs and the surrounding area including our ceded territory. We will examine the history of the tribe, the structure of our government and the diversity of Tribal Nations.

Part 3: Tribal Consultation & Best Practices: An overview of what Tribal consultation processes look like both informally and formally. We will explore best practices on how to work with Tribal Nations.

Part 4: Community Engagement in Tribal Communities: We will explore best practices on how to engage with Tribal communities and what approaches are most effective and what approaches are not. A question we will consider is how you and your organization are currently engaging and supporting Tribal Nations, communities and families.

There will be both a VIRTUAL and IN PERSON option for this Tribal Learning Series.
