As MASFAA prepares for our annual conference in Minneapolis October 14-17, it is already time to think about the 2018-19 MASFAA work ahead. MASFAA has worked hard to "plant the seeds" of developing our membership through our conferences, our annual Summer Institute, our Leadership Symposium efforts, and all of our great committee work. In 2018-19 we are offering the membership more volunteer opportunities than ever before.
In addition to traditional MASFAA committees, we are excited to announce some new taskforce initiatives. MASFAA taskforces will be charged with developing best practice information and training for the membership regarding one of several topics of interest in the financial aid profession. The majority of taskforce work is expected to be done via phone, videoconferencing, and email.
The volunteer time commitment will vary depending on the volunteer assignment beginning in November 2018 through our October 2019 MASFAA Annual Conference in Chicago. Every effort will be made to place MASFAA volunteers on at least one committee if at all possible. MASFAA committees assignments attempt to assign one volunteer from each state.
Thank you for your interest in serving MASFAA and your colleagues in the financial aid profession. Please contact me via email if any questions (mlsiii@iupui.edu). I hope to see many of you in Minneapolis!
