Overview of Conference Theme - Making it Relevant!

The average person views up to 3,000 marketed messages in a day and numbers will surely grow in the coming years. So how is your message going to stand out and get noticed? How is your company going to position itself to create systems and processes to respond to the diminishing window of time you have to communicate your message? It is about the right message at the right time to the right person.

The 2012 Xplor Conference and Vendor Forum is all about Making It Relevant! The conference focuses on relevant thought, design, execution and results. The 60+ educational sessions provide best practices, case studies and solutions that are relevant and supply you with the information to stand out.

What you need to know before submitting:

* If you would like to submit multiple presenters and sessions for consideration, you will need to complete one ”call for presentation” for each one.

* If approved by Xplor, the presenter(s), session title and session description you provide will be considered final and will be used for publication. If any changes are required, they will be subject to the Xplor review process. Xplor reserves the right to replace the session with another session and presenter(s) if changes are made after submission deadline.

* All sessions must be educational in nature, no commercials for products or services! Your presentations go through a review process with your Track Chair and Xplor before presentation.

* By providing your presentation to Xplor, it gives Xplor permission to place the presentation on a DVD as well as on the Xplor website for attendees and Xplor member access only.

* Each session is 50 minutes in length including time for questions and answers. In the case of a track panel or technical presentation, we will consider a double session if requested (110 minutes in length: part 1 – break in middle – part 2).

* Xplor deadlines must be met to keep the conference progress on schedule. Please review and only submit if you are able to meet these deadlines.

* August 31, 2011 – Call for presentation deadline for general public.
* September 23, 2011 – Xplor sends confirmations to selected presenters.
* October 3, 2011 – Presenters re-confirm commitment to Xplor.
* October 31, 2011 - Presentations submitted for review by Xplor and Track Chairs.
* November 1 -30, 2011 - Requested changes worked throughout month.
* November 30, 2011 – Presentations final.

* Approved presenters will receive a complimentary Platinum Passport registration (up to $1,145 value) which allows the speaker to attend all Xplor sessions, all networking events and the Vendor Forum at no cost. Presenters will be featured on the Xplor conference website and in the onsite conference guide. This is a perfect opportunity to share your knowledge and network with other industry experts, sponsors, vendors and attendees. No other compensation is included.

* Approved panelists will be featured on the Xplor conference website and in the onsite conference guide. This is a perfect opportunity to share your knowledge and network with other industry experts, sponsors, vendors and attendees. No other compensation is included. Panelists do not receive a complimentary Platinum Passport registration.

Relevant Thought: Your communication strategy is critical to your success. This track brings together thought leaders from across the Xplor community to share how they develop their strategies and sell them to their management. It’s about building processes to identify your targets, define your strategy and plan for measurement. This track focuses on the various components, processes and best practices of constructing the framework for an effective and relevant communication strategy.

Relevant Design: An integral part of any communication strategy is the design of the communication media. Most communication today uses multiple channels, but are you designing for consistency across those channels? We offer the experts in design of both the look and the data. This track provides insight into the components, considerations and best practices that will allow you to create effective communications.

Relevant Execution: They say it is “all in the delivery” and that is certainly true when communicating in the world today. For print, what do you need to know about the print file formats and emerging options? For view, what are the merging channels and how do you invoke them? And, don’t forget the idea of interactive print to marry the two together! Receive expert advice on creating the infrastructure for formatting and delivering your message. Utilizing multiple channels is a critical factor for your success. This track covers the various components for print and view and best practices for delivery.

Relevant Results: We live in a response-oriented world. Understanding the requirements for measurement that quantifies and identifies your success is essential. Experts share how they identified the metrics they used, how they measured, the tools they like to use, and what they term the best practices in establishing metrics and measurement. This track features best practices for establishing effective metrics as well as a host of case studies from both vendors and end users.

Relevant Executives: Sometimes you need to take a look at your whole environment to build a new and sustainable vision. Draw from the experiences of those who have been through corporate evolutions, mergers, acquisitions and business vision changes. Targeted to executives, this track provides the snapshot of the implications of these changes on their businesses. This track features subject matter experts as well as industry analysts who share new trends, technologies and studies that drive communications.

Disrupt: Change is inevitable and it is required for survival. Rapid advancement in technology demands that we change how we do business. Whether the need is obvious or not, it is the hardest thing for people and organizations to achieve. Even if you are committed to change, where do you start and how would you get it done? Disrupt is a track about fresh ideas, new approaches, and new technologies that force change -- as well as how people and organizations are able to move mountains and impact change in their organizations.

7.Our attendees range from new to the industry to senior level. We provide a gauge to help the attendee understand the level of information they can expect to receive during your presentation. What is the audience level of the presentation?(Required.)

Beginner - New to the industry, information is rudimentary

Intermediate - 3-6 years in the industry, information is moderately advanced

Advanced - 7+ years in the industry, advanced concepts and practices
