MVP Living Well programs is excited to offer Free Guided Hiking, Snowshoeing and Cross Country Skiing at Tinker Nature Trail beginning January 18th, 2020!
Information on this exciting outdoor activity is listed below:
Tinker Nature Park is a living museum of natural history. We are guests in plant and wildlife communities, which are preserved in this park, so this and future generations may enjoy them. On walks and guided tours, you will be taken through the fields, marshes, forests, and across the pond to explore and learn about the special features that make each unique. We will discuss the similarities and differences between the plants, animals, and other organisms of the habitats. We will also learn how to identify different species throughout the seasons based on sight, their calls, and other signs they leave behind for us to discover. The skills and information you learn can be applied throughout Monroe County and New York State!
MVP is offering an opportunity for you to take a Free Guided Tour at Tinker Nature Trail. Depending on the conditions you may select to hike, snowshoe or cross country ski. Snowshoe's and skis are provided by Tinker Nature Park but you are welcome to bring your own. You may elect to join any of the scheduled MVP tours (dates listed below) or if these dates do not work, select the "free rental" option in the drop down menu.
Tour Instructions:
1. If you register to attend any 1 on the 5 scheduled tours, please arrive 15-20 minutes early. No need to call in advance or take any further action.
2. If you register for a "free rental" please call Tinker Nature Trail at 585-359-7044 to arrange your guided tour.
This is family friendly, so please feel free to include relatives, friends and children. During registration please indicate how many free equipment rentals you would like. *maximum of 4 free rentals per registrant*
