Mentor Michigan has conducted the Mentor Michigan Census since 2004 to provide a comprehensive picture of the state of mentoring in Michigan. The past eight waves of the Census have provided us with a unique opportunity to understand the needs of the mentoring fields by identifying, counting, and tracking mentoring organizations, programs, mentors, and mentees. This data has also enabled us to track program components, processes, resources, and needs. As a result of your participation in the Census, Mentor Michigan has collected solid data that has been used to support funding, increase media exposure, and attract mentors.
With a solid informational foundation now in place, Mentor Michigan has changed the frequency of when we conduct the full Census. This year Mentor Michigan is asking programs to provide very basic information and numbers to assist us in keeping up-to-date data on our primary interests - mentor and mentee demographics. This information will be collected in this short, convenient online survey and the information obtained will be used to continue to generate awareness of the need for mentors.
To thank programs for participating in the survey, all organizations that complete the survey by the due date of September 27 will be entered into our 2013 Census Drawing. At the close of the survey, three organizations will be randomly selected from the completed surveys to receive an iPad Mini. A total of three iPad Minis will be given away so complete the survey for your chance to win!
