2.Introduction
At St. Jude’s, we believe that every person bears the image of God and carries gifts that enrich the Body of Christ. Inclusion and belonging matter—ensuring that people with disabilities, chronic illness, neurodivergence, or other embodied differences, visible and invisible, can participate fully in our worship and parish life. But belonging goes deeper.
Belonging means being known, needed, and valued. It means that our lives are interwoven, that each person’s presence shapes the community, and that when someone is absent, the Body feels diminished. Belonging is mutual: we receive from one another, we learn from one another, and we are changed by one another.
This survey invites you to reflect on how we, as a parish, live out this deeper call to belonging—how we welcome the gifts of people with disabilities, how we notice one another, and how we might grow in becoming a community where every member is indispensable. This includes those who participate primarily or exclusively online, often because of disability, chronic illness, or other barriers to in‑person worship.
Your responses are anonymous unless you choose otherwise. Thank you for helping us listen for the Spirit’s leading.
