INSTRUCTIONS.

Read Case 3: A 16-year-old girl with delayed puberty.

A mother brought her daughter because she is concerned that her daughter has not yet gone through puberty. The daughter's developmental milestones were normal and she is doing well in school. Her growth was normal until her height fell below the tenth percentile at about 6 years of age. She had had numerous ear infections.

Her father and mother are 185 and 165 cm in height, respectively. There is no family history of short stature or delayed puberty.

On exam, she was 150 cm tall and weighed 40 kg. Her nipples were widely spaced. Her hearing was somewhat impaired but her speech had normal character.
A. Start SimulConsult. Log into SimulConsult (or go to the Start tab on the black navigation bar, clear patient data to start another case).

B. Enter initial data. 
On the Start screen of the software, begin by adding age (be sure to add the units) and sex.
C. See the SimulConsult resource for head circumference, weight, and stature calculations to assess stature and weight.

3.Choose diagnoses. Record your impression of the differential diagnosis (using or ignoring the software results as you deem appropriate) by ranking at least 1 and up to 3 diagnoses from the list provided.
